Joseph Reeves

UNIX hacker, thinker, and lifelong misfit are some of the labels that I accept. Artist, writer, and linguist are some of the things that I aspire to be. I enjoy quiet time spent at home with my wife and cats, a meal that was prepared with time and care, and books that I have to read twice.
I'm involved in the open source community and founded a Linux User group called Malu in Montgomery, Alabama over five years ago. I was also instrumental in setting up ALF, a statewide conference for LUG members in the state of Alabama. Some of the guest speakers over the past few years included Jon "maddog" Hall, Mark Spencer of Asterisk, and Timothy from Slashdot.
Contributing to something worthwhile is what drives me. Currently, I'm looking for the next big thing. If you think that I might fit with your project, please contact me. My technical skillset is solid, and I interface with humans surprisingly well for a geek :-)
